About The Position
We are seeking a skilled Cardiovascular Operating Room Technician to join our team. This role is integral to the surgical services department, specifically in cardiovascular procedures. The technician will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment. This position is set in an acute care environment with a focus on cardiovascular specialties, providing a dynamic and fast-paced workspace.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of open heart surgical experience.
- Experience in scrubbing for cardiovascular procedures is necessary.
- ACLS and BLS for Registered Nurses; BLS for Technicians.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for procedures.
- Assist surgeons during cardiovascular operations by scrubbing and providing necessary support.
- Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and that the sterile environment is maintained.
- Collaborate with the surgical team for optimal patient care.
