About The Position
The role is based in the Operating Room and Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) with the following details: Number of Suites: 12 general OR suites, 1 CVOR suite, and 1 hybrid room. Average Cases per Day: 14 cases. Common Case Types: Regular OR: Orthopedic (total joints), gynecological, urology, trauma surgeries, ENT, general surgeries, some plastics, vascular, neuro, and robotic (Da Vinci) procedures. CVOR: Open heart surgeries, valve procedures, thoracotomy, and trauma cases.
Requirements
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) via NBSTSA
- BLS Certification required
- Experience in trauma, orthopedic, and general surgery
Responsibilities
- Assist in surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment
- Prepare and maintain medical instruments and supplies
- Participate in both regular operating room cases and cardiovascular surgeries
- Responsibility for patient safety during surgical operations
