About The Position
Harrison County Hospital is seeking an experienced Surgical Tech. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, 36 hours per week, plus call. The Surgery Technician/Sterile Processing Tech, under the supervision and direction of the Surgery Nurse, assists in the care of patients in the Surgery Department. He/she assists in the care, preparation and maintenance of sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment. He/she functions as scrub assistant to the doctor and helps in the set-up and break down of the operating room. He/she should be emotionally stable and mature, accurate, and flexible in his/her dealings with other people.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Certification as surgical technologist
- One year previous experience as Surgery Technician
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program
- Appropriate abilities and education as determined by the hospital, such as LPN, RN, etc.
- Emotionally stable and mature
- Accurate
- Flexible in dealings with other people
Responsibilities
