About The Position

As a member of the healthcare team, the Surgical Tech II collaborates with the surgical team to provide patient care, ensuring that patient goals are met and the hospital’s mission is carried out. The schedule is 0900–1730 or 1000–1830, three days a week. Weekday call is assigned on a rotating basis; weekend and holiday coverage is call only, also on a rotational basis. The position is 1.0 FTE.

Requirements

• At least one year of surgical experience, which may be in any combination of roles as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Technician.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Post-high-school education, certification, or diploma.
• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, a Military Operating Room Specialist course, or the Froedtert Health-sponsored Apprentice II program.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS), or an AHA-approved equivalent, required within 90 days of hire.
