About The Position

Our twelve-room OR suite maintains a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio, which enables us to form close relationships with patients and their families during very difficult times. We also feature a 44-bay multi-level PACU with staff dedicated to trauma and other emergency cases. Our PACU features a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio. Throughout the unit we are committed to using the latest technology, affording staff the opportunity to constantly learn and enhance their skills. As a Level I Trauma Center, we are operational 24/7. The Ortho Coordinator is a Registered Nurse that is responsible for coordinating and implementing services and activities related to the designated surgical services lines.

Requirements

  • One year of OR Nursing experience including recent knowledge of Robotic Surgical Care in GYN, General, Urology and Thoracic patients
  • Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Of Nursing and, upon hire
  • Masters Of Nursing, upon hire
  • Three years of advanced knowledge of Robotic Surgery is preferred in all surgical specialties including GYN, General,Urology and Thoracic

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that patient receives best possible clinical and service experience from the time of surgery scheduling throughout the perioperative experience by overseeing patient OR staff and resident education.
  • Maintaining the quality standards for responsive service including data management of key quality indicators.
  • Functions as a liaison between the physicians nursing staff OR leadership allied health professionals patients and families.
