About The Position

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, this role schedules procedures for the operating room, same day surgery, GI Lab, Pain Clinic and OB, and takes telephone orders from physicians for procedures. The Surgical Scheduler II enters scheduling information into the computer system, generates daily reports, and distributes them to the appropriate departments.

Requirements

• High school level of communication and/or math skills.
• Minimum 2 years of previous experience in Surgery Scheduling or Medical Tech experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology or coursework taken.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Prior scheduling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules procedures for the operating room, same day surgery, GI Lab, Pain Clinic and OB.
• Takes telephone orders from physicians for procedures.
• Enters scheduling information into computer system.
• Generates daily reports and distributes to appropriate departments.
