About The Position
The Surgical Dental Assistant supports a busy, high-end surgical dental practice on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. The role assists the dentist with surgical procedures, including procedures involving IV sedation, and helps ensure patients receive safe, comfortable, and efficient care. This is described as a full-time, long-term career opportunity in a supportive, team-focused workplace, with opportunities for professional growth without additional schooling. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM, with no weekends.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of surgical dental assisting experience, including oral surgery experience.
- Experience with IV sedation; the posting states the candidate must be able to do IV sedation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and professionalism.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude and excellent communication skills.
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during surgical procedures, including IV sedation.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and surgical equipment.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and surgical documentation.
- Support the clinical team in delivering a high standard of care and efficiency.
