About The Position

ENT and Allergy Associates (ENTA) and Hümi are seeking a full-time Surgical Coordinator for the Shrewsbury office. The role is responsible for scheduling surgeries for the office’s physicians and reports directly to the Practice Site Administrator. The position pays $25 per hour and has a Monday-through-Friday schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ENTA is a large ENT, Allergy, and Audiology medical practice, with more than 475 clinicians across over 70 locations in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Its services include adult and pediatric ENT and Allergy, voice and swallowing care, sinus and skull base surgery, facial plastics and reconstructive surgery, treatment of inner ear disorders and dizziness, asthma-related services, diagnostic audiology and hearing aid dispensing, and sleep and CT services. Hümi provides healthcare management and consultancy services, including practice operations and management, technology, revenue cycle, compliance, HR management, and business applications. Responsibilities

Schedule all hospital surgeries and some in-office surgeries.
Communicate with hospitals to complete necessary pre-operative requirements.
Contact patients to explain their responsibilities and pre-operative and post-operative requirements.
Provide patients with surgical preparation packets containing paperwork to complete before surgery.
Precertify surgical procedures with the appropriate insurance company and verify eligibility, deductibles, and copays.
