About The Position

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is looking for a customer-focused Surgery Scheduler to join their team. In this role, the Surgery Scheduler will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing support to providers by scheduling surgical procedures and meetings while helping create exceptional patient care. This role also provides leadership to Surgery Schedulers I and II, contributes to work on pilots and projects, prepares analyses, and patient care coordination.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ of experience as a Surgery Scheduler.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgical procedures, testing, and pre-op appointments.
• Obtains insurance authorizations and oversees the management of consent forms for surgical procedures.
• Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments.
• Oversees Provider schedule templates and inputs monthly schedules.
• Collect payments and support accurate billing processes.
• Assist with patient communications, paperwork, and MyChart support.
• Maintain patient records and support day-to-day office operations.
• Gathers data and analyzes scheduling efficiencies.
• Performs enhanced recovery and/or Surgical Home Coordination.
