About The Position

Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a Surgical APP (Advanced Practice Provider) for their Neurosurgery service in Boston, MA. This role involves rounding with residents, developing patient plans, seeing patients as needed, managing orders, and handling discharges. The APPs focus on patient care and do not participate in OR procedures, as a resident program assists in the OR. A preferred ability to remove drains (hemovac/JP drains) is noted. The position requires 1 year of neurosurgery experience and BC in Neurosurgery.

Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurosurgery (BC)
• Massachusetts State License (MA)
• 1-year minimum neurosurgery experience
• Proficiency in Epic EMR/Charting Software
• Experience with Pediatric patient age group
• Ability to remove drains (hemovac / jp drains) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rounding with residents to establish patient plans.
• Reviewing and entering orders.
• Seeing patients as needed.
• Working on orders and discharges.
• Patient care only; no OR involvement.
• Preferred ability to remove drains (hemovac / jp drains).
