About The Position
PeaceHealth is seeking a Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for their Vascular Surgery team at Riverbend Pavilion in Springfield, OR. This is a full-time, 1.0 FTE position covering gap coverage for both inpatient and outpatient settings. The APP will work closely with an MD/DO, providing first assist in the OR and assisting with in-clinic procedures. The role involves rounding and admissions, with an average of 15-20 patients per day. The assignment is for approximately 6 months, with an ASAP start date. The APP will be responsible for 12-hour or 24-hour call shifts, Monday through Friday, and potentially weekends. Clinic hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. Orientation will be provided on the first day.
Requirements
- Licensed Candidate (OR licensed preferred for October/November dates)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Documentation of provision of clinical services representative of the scope and complexity of the privileges requested during the previous 24 months
- Documentation of training and competency in First, Second or Third Assist in General Surgery and Surgical Sub-Specialties
- Case log of surgical cases for last 24 months
- Documentation by surgeon noting whether assistance was as first, second or third assist
- Specific documentation of training and competency including type and number of procedures in the last two years as well as the name and contact information for the primary operator for the NP privilege, "First Assist in Surgery"
- EPIC EMR experience
