About The Position
Surface Experts is seeking individuals who enjoy hands-on work, are creative, and have an artistic or crafty inclination to join their team as a Surface Repair Technician. This role offers an artistic outlet where technicians creatively complete repairs, typically in an hour or less. The company specializes in comprehensive hard surface repair for various items like bathtubs, cabinets, floors, appliances, countertops, and furniture, using a combination of traditional trades and proprietary processes to provide durable and aesthetically pleasing repairs. Surface Experts focuses on repairing small damages as an alternative to full resurfacing, saving customers time and money while reducing waste. Their typical repairs are quick, clean, and odor-free.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience doing some form of manual work (e.g., construction, manufacturing, painting, sculpting).
- Must be able to see, distinguish, and replicate colors.
- Familiarity with color and color matching is integral to the process.
Nice To Haves
- A background in facilities maintenance is helpful but not a deal breaker.
- Backgrounds in painting, sculpting, whittling, drawing, and other visual arts of various mediums can excel.
Responsibilities
- Complete 4 or more creative repairs on-site each day.
- Perform work on-location while displaying a great customer service attitude and friendly communication.
- Problem-solve repairs in a variety of settings such as apartments, hotels, moving sites, and construction sites.
- Treat tenants and staff with exceptional customer service.
- Update progress on repairs by entering information and notes on the CRM/Dispatch tool.
- Problem-solve alongside the designated Support Team for any issue.
- Learn and integrate the company's one-of-a-kind 5-step process into the creative routine.
- Master each instrument and tool in the personalized tool-kit.
- Flex artistic talents as each repair requires a unique solution.
