About The Position

The Supv-Clinical Engineering leads and oversees lease-back Clinical Engineering operations across multiple sites. The position is responsible for delivering a quality, cost-effective medical equipment maintenance program that meets or exceeds customer expectations. It supervises technical work and staff, coordinates with internal and external stakeholders to resolve equipment-related issues, and maintains high customer service standards. The department is located on the Moross Road campus and serves Detroit’s east side and the Grosse Pointes.

Requirements

• At least three to five years of progressively more responsible experience in biomedical or clinical engineering.
• Valid driver's license.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Associate degree in clinical engineering.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent, with courses in Biomedical or Clinical Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day technical work, service quality, and completion of preventive maintenance.
• Dispatch assignments for repair requests and schedule staff coverage, including callback.
• Oversee implementation of management directives and initiatives.
• Assist with system planning, budget preparation, and technology assessment.
• Coordinate the design, construction, and implementation of installations and special projects.
• Ensure compliance with medical device regulatory standards, including TJC, CMS, DNV, OSHA, and EPA.
