Supported Employment Manager (Disability Services) - Bronx

About The Position

AHRC New York City is seeking a Supported Employment Manager to oversee supported work programs in the Bronx. The manager will supervise and mentor job coaches, improve service quality, and develop relationships with community partners and employers. The role includes coordinating pre-employment activities and job placements, supporting staff at job sites, and ensuring program records meet compliance and billing requirements. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexibility required for possible early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends. The position may require coverage on weekdays during hours between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m. Salary is $64,500.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Education, Human Services, or Rehabilitative Counseling.
At least 2 years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible schedule; may be asked to cover weekdays and hours between 6 a.m. and 12 a.m.

Nice To Haves

Job coach experience.
Valid NY Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

Supervise and mentor job coaches to help individuals develop work skills.
Provide orientation for new staff and ongoing training for current staff.
Travel to job sites to supervise job coaches, provide on-site support, and resolve issues.
Coordinate pre-employment activities and job placements.
Maintain employer partnerships to ensure quality services and meet contractual requirements.
Build relationships with funding sources and local schools to maximize future job opportunities.
Participate in community and professional events to promote the program.
Ensure program files are complete and support compliance and billing requirements.
