About The Position

Northside Hospital is seeking a Support Tech to assist staff in Surgical Services. The role includes cleaning and servicing rooms, removing waste, and completing special projects. The Support Tech inventories and restocks unit supplies and obtains supplies and rental units. The position also provides support to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and caregivers by performing simple patient care activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma, equivalent education (GED), post-secondary education, or one year of work experience.
• One year of experience as a Support Technician or in another healthcare-related position.
• American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification.

• Visual color acuity, depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service rooms, remove waste, and perform special projects as assigned.
• Inventory and restock supplies on the unit.
• Obtain supplies and rental units.

• Assist and support staff in Surgical Services in an expanded Support Tech role.
