About The Position
Crew Members are essential to the daily operations of Community Grounds and Carver Market, helping create a welcoming customer experience while supporting efficient store, café, and kitchen operations. Team members are cross-trained across multiple functions and may be scheduled to support different responsibilities based on business needs, training, and shift assignments.
Requirements
- Able to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-activity setting.
- Comfortable taking initiative and completing tasks with minimal supervision.

- Skilled at creating positive customer experiences through responsiveness, attentiveness, and care.
Nice To Haves
- Retail experience preferred but not required
- Prior experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer transactions, provide friendly and efficient service, and maintain an organized front-of-house café checkout area.
- Prepare coffee, espresso, and other café beverages according to established standards while maintaining speed, quality, and cleanliness in the beverage station.
- Support food preparation activities, including ingredient prep, basic cooking tasks, and adherence to food safety and quality standards.
- Assist with kitchen cleanliness, dishwashing, stocking, and operational tasks that support efficient back-of-house workflow.
- Provide accurate checkout support for grocery and retail customers while delivering a welcoming and helpful customer experience.
- Restock merchandise, monitor product presentation, assist with inventory upkeep, and help maintain a clean, organized, and customer-ready retail environment.
- Adapt to changing operational needs by supporting multiple areas of the business as assigned and collaborating effectively with team members to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Ensure proper cleaning, light maintenance, and overall functionality of store equipment.
- Maintain high standards for store cleanliness, presentation, and overall customer experience.
- Ensure accurate pricing of inventory and menu items across all departments.
- Ensure consistent, reliable, and quality inventory by supporting with inventory management processes
