About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Support Equipment Technician located in JB Andrews, MD. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. The technician will assist the Lead Technician in daily tasks, maintain systems by removing, replacing, repairing, or upgrading components, and troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components. They will also conduct routine functional tests, perform visual inspections, and document maintenance and inspection actions. The role involves creating and maintaining maintenance, calibration, and inventory tracking systems. Employees must be willing and able to deploy/travel to various locations (domestic and international) for different durations on potentially short notice to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Failure to deploy/travel may be considered a resignation unless compelling reasons exist. The position works under general supervision and with minimal direction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment
  • Ability to work and support a 24/7 on-call rotation environment
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; as much as 10% of the time
  • Must satisfy the Company's Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • Requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
  • Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components
  • Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components
  • Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment
  • Perform a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents
  • Document maintenance and inspection actions as required
  • Create and maintain maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems
  • Willing and able to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work.
