About The Position

Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an Experienced Support Equipment Technician located in JB Andrews, MD. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. The technician will assist the Lead Technician in daily tasks, maintain systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components, and troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components. They will also perform routine functional tests, visual inspections, and document all maintenance and inspection actions. Additionally, the technician will create and maintain maintenance, calibration, and inventory tracking systems. At the discretion of leadership, the employee must be willing and able to deploy/travel to various locations (domestic and international) for varying durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Work is performed under general supervision with minimal direction.

Requirements

5+ years' experience maintaining aircraft Ground Support Equipment
Ability to work and support a 24/7 on-call rotation environment
Ability to travel domestically and internationally on short notice; as much as 10% of the time
Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)

Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook)
General automotive servicing experience with an electrical, hydraulic, and internal combustion engine background

Responsibilities

Assist the Lead Technician as needed in daily accomplishments and tasking
Maintain a limited number of systems by removing, replacing, repairing or upgrading components
Troubleshoot problems to isolate faulty components
Conduct routine functional tests by operating equipment and using appropriate test equipment
Perform a variety of visual inspections as required by equipment maintenance documents
Document maintenance and inspection actions as required
Create and maintain maintenance, calibration and inventory tracking systems
Deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work.
