  • Broad knowledge of multi-discipline construction and field engineering for support buildings, including Civil, Structural, Architectural, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical systems, installation sequencing, interfaces, inspection, testing, completion, and turnover requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead contractor and subcontractor coordination, establish priorities, coordinate workloads and resources, review technical deliverables, provide performance feedback, and maintain consistent field engineering processes across disciplines.
  • Advanced knowledge of work planning and packaging, Advanced Work Packaging principles, workface readiness, material management, quantity control, progress reporting, forecasting, project-controls interfaces, construction automation, and turnover documentation.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply multi-discipline drawings, specifications, models, vendor information, subcontract documents, inspection and test plans, codes and standards, RFIs, field changes, NCR dispositions, and as-built requirements.
  • Experience coordinating design, construction, procurement, quality, commissioning, startup, contractors and subcontractors, and client interfaces to resolve issues.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, technical judgment, facilitation, and decision-making skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, resolve cross-discipline conflicts, and support safe, quality- and schedule-driven execution.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate multi-discipline field engineering activities for assigned support buildings; set priorities, distribute assignments, review deliverables, and provide technical direction and feedback to General Contractor representatives.
  • Develop and maintain integrated field engineering execution plans, Installation Work Packages, short-interval plans, workface-readiness reviews, construction sequencing, area interfaces, and constraint-removal across CSA, Mechanical, Piping, and Electrical scopes.
  • Coordinate communication among Construction, Design Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Project Controls, Commissioning, Startup, subcontractors, General Contractor, and Client representatives to align deliverables, materials, inspections, testing, turnover priorities, and field execution needs.
  • Review drawings, specifications, models, vendor data, contractor and subcontractor submittals, RFIs, field changes, design deliverables, installation details, and as-built requirements; coordinate resolution of technical, constructability, and interface issues.
  • Lead material and equipment readiness, including quantity takeoffs, field material requisitions, receiving, inspection, storage, preservation, warehousing, substitutions, release, and verification of availability.
  • Manage installed-quantity verification, progress measurement, forecasting, productivity analysis, construction engineering records, and field data supporting schedule, cost, and remaining-work strategies.
  • Coordinate contractor and subcontractor technical oversight, including scope interfaces, submittals, inspection and test plans, progress reporting, invoices, change documentation, quality records, field support, completion requirements, and schedule integration.
  • Lead inspection and test planning, quality verification, nonconformance resolution, corrective-action follow-up, punch-list closure, turnover package completion, system walkdowns, and transfer of completed systems to Commissioning, Startup, Operations, or the Client.
  • Monitor field execution to ensure approved documents, procedures, permits, quality records, and work packages are used; identify risks, resolve or escalate systemic issues, and implement corrective actions to prevent rework and schedule impacts.
