About The Position

The Supply Technician performs limited aspects of technical supply management work, including inventory management, storage management, cataloging, and property utilization, related to depot, local, or other supply activities. The work is typically controlled in terms of difficulty, complexity, and responsibility, often focusing on stable or standardized segments of supply management operations or narrow functional areas. Assignments generally involve individual case problems or supply actions, requiring an understanding of program requirements and adherence to specific guidelines. The role involves building and maintaining knowledge of governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, and manuals, as well as understanding the needs of the serviced organization. Analytical skills are used to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and recommend actions based on established guidelines. All other position-related duties as assigned or requested are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization.
  • US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of material/supply functions, either in the military services or in commercial applications.
  • Knowledgeable of governing supply systems/programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals or other established guidelines.
  • Ability to work in GSS-Army.
  • Must have or be able to obtain licenses/certifications as needed to perform duties.
  • Must have a valid and current state driver’s license.
  • Must be able to operate a government general-purpose vehicle.
  • May be required to obtain and maintain a forklift license.
  • Must be able to complete paperwork associated with the position as required.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, complex environment.
  • Must be able to read and understand Technical Manuals, Technical Bulletins, Army Regulations and Department of the Army Pamphlets.
  • Must possess basic computer skills.
  • Must have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Must have an ability to meet physical demands and pass any related medical examination requirements required to perform daily assigned tasks.
  • Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.
  • May need the ability to obtain and maintain a government Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Position may require travel.
  • Requires Class D license.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with U.S. Army combat and tactical equipment preferred.

Responsibilities
