About The Position

This position requires a Supply Technician to support operations at Fort Bragg, NC. The role involves utilizing PC skills with Microsoft Office and data/web-based systems, understanding Army rank structure and unit relationships, and performing tasks under stressful conditions. The technician must be physically capable of demonstrating required tasks to standard and possess appropriate certifications. Key skills include customer service, performance monitoring, problem-solving, decision-making, and recognizing potential issues. Experience in logistics, property accountability, and warehouse operations is preferred, as is formal schooling or certifications. The ability to operate material handling equipment and obtain a SECRET security clearance is also necessary.

Requirements

  • Must be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with a functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (primarily Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point and Windows graphical user interface) and Data/web based systems required for task area performing work.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Army rank structure and military unit relationships (e.g., Company, Battalion, Brigade, Division, etc).
  • Must be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the required tasks to standard.
  • Must have the appropriate qualifications, certification, and/or license under the requirements for the task area being performed under this contract prior to commencement of work.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
  • Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
  • Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • The ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.
  • The ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
  • The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (includes finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Be able to work under stressful conditions and be physically able to demonstrate the training/support tasks to standard.
  • Capable of operating mechanical and manual material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred minimum five years experience in the Military.
  • Eight years training in logistics as it relates to property accountability, logistics and warehouse operations preferred.
  • Formal schooling, certification, and training from an accredited agency preferred.
