About The Position

The Supply Specialist 2 supports the warehousing and storeroom operations of Food and Nutrition Services by receiving, storing, issuing, and distributing food and non-food supplies. This position is responsible for stocking and organizing products, fulfilling daily supply needs, maintaining accurate records and documentation, assisting with inspections, receiving incoming shipments, and entering daily receipts and purchases into the computer system. The person in this position will also participate in inventory counts, physical inventories, and the reconciliation of inventory records.

Requirements

  • Three years of stocking, storeroom or warehouse experience which included purchasing a variety of supplies, equipment or materials, maintaining inventory records, and shipping and receiving materials and equipment.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a valid Oregon Forklift Operator Certification (agency will assist with training).
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Food Handler’s Card.
  • At least one year of experience in keyboarding and computer operations.
  • Experience operating warehouse material moving equipment.
  • Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong communication skills on phone, fax and e-mail.
  • Knowledge of State of Oregon purchasing and contracting policies and procedures.
  • Experience with computerized and manual purchasing, receiving and inventory systems.
  • Experience and proficiency in the operation of common office devices and equipment.
