Supply Planning Intern
About The Position
The Sara Lee Frozen Bakery Supply Chain Internship is a 10–12-week summer program designed to help interns develop analytical and strategic thinking skills through immersive, challenging projects. The program offers exposure to the food industry, the company and its operations, and how different disciplines contribute to its products and customer partnerships. Interns will also participate in professional and social engagement activities, work with senior leaders, and network with other interns. The Supply Planning Intern contributes to projects in a fast-paced environment, including reporting and analytics work and a final summer presentation to the senior leadership team. The role builds analytics and reporting, including KPI dashboards, and reviews issues affecting service, cost, cash, and business efficiency. The position follows a hybrid schedule at the Oakbrook Terrace headquarters from June to August 2027. Relocation and housing assistance are not provided.
Requirements
- Be a current student pursuing an education curriculum focused on a degree relevant to the position, such as Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Operations.
- Have an overall GPA of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Have strong Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Have strong communication skills and the ability to interface effectively with key stakeholders at every level of the business.
- Be a self-starter with the ability to work independently.
- Have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with internal and external contacts.
- Be able to work in a team environment with Operations, Sales/Marketing, and Finance and interact regularly with senior management regarding goals and accomplishments.
- Be able to work a hybrid schedule at the Oakbrook Terrace headquarters office from June to August 2027.
Responsibilities
