About The Position

Plans, schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of material by planning, setting up and releasing work orders to provide continuous product flow and on-time delivery of customer orders. This role requires a thorough knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in the area of discipline, and competence in all job functions with a general understanding of industry practices, techniques, and standards. The position involves developing solutions for a variety of situations and working on projects requiring evaluation and analysis, often independently exercising judgment and discretion. The role may involve representing the department internally or externally and actions taken can impact the success of the department and/or the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience from which comparable knowledge and job skills can be obtained.
Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
Intermediate Excel skills preferred.

Nice To Haves

May be required to maintain certification in a quality management method, e.g., Lean, Six Sigma
SAP or equivalent ERP experience preferred

Responsibilities

Determines material needs and availability of stock.
Works closely with operations, purchasing, engineering, and quality departments to achieve production goals.
Ensures that the required parts and materials are available to meet both customer and inventory needs.
Rearranges schedules to meet changing requirements such as customer orders, manpower, or material shortages and plant load.
Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise wide systems.
