Supply and Distribution is seeking a Full-Time Supply Distribution Associate to join our dedicated team serving Corning, NY. This would be a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying organized, and being part of a team that keeps healthcare running smoothly. The Supply Distribution Associate plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory levels, receiving and distributing supplies, and ensuring departments have the materials needed for daily operations. This position supports warehouse organization, inventory control, and timely restocking while contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow across the organization.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • On-the-job training provided to attain competency.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors departmental supplies and orders to maintain appropriate stock levels.
  • Maintains department filing systems.
  • Verifies contents of delivered inventory and receives inventory appropriately in the MMIS system.
  • Restocks material management and direct inventory locations.
  • Monitors expiration dates in par locations.
  • Performs physical inventories and cycle counts and assists in inventory audits.
  • Generates stock level reports and works with the Supervisor to identify stock issues and opportunities.
  • Performs inventory updates and adjustments in the MMIS system.
  • Maintains accurate information for requisitions and inventory counts.
  • Communicates discrepancies and inventory issues to management.
  • Restocks inventory in a timely manner.
  • Performs shipping functions utilizing FedEx, UPS, U.S. Mail, or common carriers.
  • Uses effective time management, flexibility, and priority setting to maintain normal department functions in both supervised and unsupervised environments.
  • Performs all job functions in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with other team members and adapts to change to improve services.
  • Answers phones promptly, identifies self, and records accurate information.
  • Participates in orientation and on-the-job training of new employees and acts as a role model for other associates.
  • Represents The Guthrie Clinic in a professional and courteous manner to coworkers, visitors, and others.
  • Participates in the Performance Improvement Program by: Identifying areas in which Performance Improvement can be applied. Collecting and organizing performance measurement data. Participating on Performance Improvement teams.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
