Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of five years of hospital storeroom experience required
  • Knowledge of supply chain and receiving practices required

Responsibilities

  • Performs cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Communicates discrepancies and problems with physical inventory.
  • Counts par level inventories, picks and replenishes stock levels according to reports.
  • Maintains accurate information for par levels, requisitions, cycle counts, inventory, and bin locations.
  • Performs inventory issues and adjustments in the Material Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Verifies contents of delivered inventory and receives contents into MMIS.
  • Ensures supplies are properly rotated and checked for expiration dates at all times.
  • Coordinates the receiving and delivery functions on the receiving dock and courier staging locations.
  • Maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance standards, and safety programs.
  • Assists the department manager with input and completion of department APRs.
  • Monitors departmental supplies and orders appropriately.
  • Orders department supplies and coordinates equipment repairs for Supply & Distribution equipment.
  • Monitors product recall software.
  • Reboots vendor credentialing systems as requested by IT or Purchasing.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Attends daily facility huddles, weekly team meetings, and other meetings as required.
