About The Position

Join The Oregon Clinic as a full-time Supply Clerk in our Gastroenterology West Clinic in Southwest Portland. This role is crucial in ensuring quality, cost containment, safety, and excellent customer satisfaction in procurement and distribution. You will act as a liaison between clinics and the Central Supply Chain, making recommendations for process improvements and assisting in the development of best practices. Your responsibilities include maintaining department operations, supply replenishment, shipping and receiving, and coordinating equipment repairs. You will ensure the right products and services are delivered at the appropriate time, support mailing tasks, complete ad hoc reports, and perform errands outside the clinic. Additionally, you will arrange meeting logistics. Requirements

  • Minimum of (1) one year of customer service experience is required.
  • Must be familiar with the technical aspects and general functions of an Inventory and Material Management Information System.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance, communication, time-management, and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of (2) two years of inventory control experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience in purchasing and supply chain management within a healthcare setting is a strong plus!
  • Minimum of (1) one year of materials management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting in and ensuring quality, cost containment, safety, and excellent customer satisfaction (physician, patient, and staff) in procurement and distribution for The Oregon Clinic.
  • Acting as liaison between clinics and Central Supply Chain.
  • Making recommendations for process improvements.
  • Attending Supply Chain department meetings.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of best practices, quality improvements, and process changes.
  • Maintaining the operations and productivity of the department, including supply replenishment, shipping and receiving, and supplies procurement for their assigned office.
  • Coordinating repairs for equipment and instruments and PAR maintenance.
  • Assuring that the right products, services, and equipment are delivered to the right person at the appropriate time.
  • Supporting the practice in mailing items and completing ad hoc reports.
  • Performing tasks outside of Clinic locations including the bank and/or post office.
  • Arranging meeting logistics including booking conference rooms, making reservations, ordering food and creating and distributing agendas/materials.
  • Other duties as assigned.
