Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Knowledge of correct procedures for the handling and disposal of specimens and biohazardous infectious waste.
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, work independently, and effectively multitask.
  • Excellent attendance, communication, time management, and work ethic.
  • Positive attitude and desire to be a team player.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with patients, physicians, and other team members.
  • A commitment to patient-focused care, privacy, and safety.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one (1) year of medical office experience is strongly preferred.
  • Prior Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience is preferred. EPIC experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for maintaining exam rooms and other administrative duties as needed.
  • Cleans and closes down exam rooms.
  • Restocks exam rooms as needed, ensuring necessary tools and supplies are available.
  • Cleans and stocks team members' break rooms.
  • Tracks and collects data as assigned.
  • Files pathology lab slides.
  • Sends out pathology lab correspondence and parcels.
  • Other duties as assigned.
