About The Position

The Supply Chain Tech II is responsible for distributing and issuing daily supplies, linen, mail, and incoming shipments throughout Ingalls Memorial Hospital. Duties may include receiving stock and delivering it to ordering units, filling linen carts, performing courier routes, and working directly in CPD. This is a 100% onsite position based in the greater Chicagoland area, in the Supply Chain/Linen department at Ingalls Memorial Hospital in Harvey.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two to four years of experience in the same or a closely related position, familiar with inventory control, Lawson, or similar applications.
• Understanding of inventory functions in a distribution environment.
• Computer literacy.
• Interpersonal skills to work with people at all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

• Use the Inventory Control System and the Controltex linen handheld computer in a timely and efficient manner.
• Restock Kanban bins, isolation carts, and crash carts, and identify expired goods.
• Deliver patient care supplies as needed.
• Fill and deliver linen carts throughout the facility and enter all linen transactions into the computer.
• Ensure supplies are appropriately stocked on nursing units and in clean utility rooms.
• Receive items and deliver them to units throughout the facility.
• Complete other duties as assigned in the linen, CPD, receiving, courier, and mailroom departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
