About The Position

As a Supply Chain Supervisor, you will lead a team responsible for domestic parcel shipping, and warehouse operations at our Westbrook, Maine facility. This is a 2nd shift onsite role, Monday – Thursday 3:00 pm – 11:30 pm and Friday 1:00 pm – 9:30 pm. The Worldwide Operations and Supply Chain team plays a critical role in ensuring IDEXX products are delivered accurately, safely, and on time to customers around the world. Through operational excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement, the team helps maintain the high level of service our customers depend on every day. As a people leader, you will have a direct impact on team performance, employee development, and operational success by coaching employees, solving workflow challenges, and helping drive a safe, collaborative, and high-performing warehouse environment. This role is critical to maintaining the efficiency and accuracy of IDEXX’s distribution operations and supporting uninterrupted service to customers globally.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience directly leading a team of 10+ employees in a warehouse environment (required).
  • At least 2 years of warehouse operations experience (required).
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and developing employees in a professional and empathetic manner (required).
  • Experience problem solving and conducting investigations into operational errors or workflow issues (required).
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint (required).
  • Effective communicator with strong active listening, written, and verbal communication skills (required).
  • Strong attention to detail and experience maintaining reporting accuracy (required).
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment with changing daily priorities and production demands (required).
  • Fluent in English for both verbal and written communication (required).
  • Able to meet the physical and environmental requirements of working in a warehouse setting, including extended standing and sitting, frequent computer and phone use, extended reach, occasional climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching, lifting up to 50–70 lbs, and specific vision abilities including close-range vision, color perception, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Comfortable working near moving electro-mechanical equipment using appropriate protective equipment as needed, working periodically in cold room environments at 41°F or below, and traveling occasionally as required (required).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using forklift equipment in a warehouse setting (preferred).
  • Experience using RF scanners or similar warehouse technology (preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a team of approximately 13–15 employees responsible for picking, packing, and shipping IDEXX parcels to our domestic customers.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to employees through regular 1:1 conversations, training coordination, and clear communication of expectations and priorities.
  • Use empathetic, respectful, and effective communication skills to foster a positive team environment, support employee development, and address operational challenges.
  • Monitor operational workflows and team performance to ensure productivity, accuracy, and service goals are met across the shift.
  • Review weekly employee performance reporting and operational metrics within SAP to identify trends, opportunities, and improvement areas.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues, investigate errors, and implement corrective actions to minimize disruption and improve processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams and training resources to support employee development and operational effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures and help promote a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support inventory accuracy and shipment documentation by ensuring correct quantities, materials, and processes are followed.
  • Oversee the safe and efficient use of warehouse equipment including reach trucks, dock stockers, order pickers, and clamp trucks.
  • Maintain consistent communication across shifts to ensure operational alignment and customer service standards are achieved.
