About The Position

HealthPartners is hiring for a full-time Supply Chain Supervisor. This role involves supervising and managing the daily operations of the Supply Chain department, including the distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and support services such as courier services, mail, fleet maintenance, warehouse inventory, and shipping and receiving. The position also includes performing other duties as assigned, which may be interdepartmental or organizational-wide in scope.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree or comparable work experience.
  • At least three years of experience in materials management.
  • Knowledge of common business principles and practices.
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure development and problem-solving.
  • Ability to develop and implement a plan to meet established departmental goals.
  • Ability to manage multiple work groups and respond to workloads to meet customer expectations.
  • Ability to communicate with end users to identify expectations and implement processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with staff and vendors.
  • Ability to manage PC-based systems and software for departmental applications.
  • Ability to problem-solve, prioritize, and delegate responsibilities.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Current and valid Driver's License.
  • Ability to pass D.O.T. physical.
  • Ability to comply with safety instructions, observe safe work practices, and promote a safe work environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of experience supervising a large diverse workforce.
  • Prior experience in logistics / distribution / supervision, fleet management and/or plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise/manage the daily operations of the Supply Chain department.
  • Oversee distribution of medical supplies, equipment, and support services (courier, mail, fleet maintenance, warehouse inventory, shipping and receiving).
  • Supervise staff, with authority to hire, transfer, lay off, promote, discipline, discharge, train, reward, and review performance.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Establish and maintain quality indicators for service levels.
  • Promote and utilize value analysis and quality management principles.
  • Supervise and improve courier team operations.
  • Work with maintenance vendors to ensure vehicle fleet safety and operational status.
  • Create and post weekly schedules and maintain future schedules.
  • Complete inventory cycle counting.
  • Develop practices and procedures to implement Supply Chain policies.
  • Provide input to budget development and monitor the budget of assigned cost centers.
  • Identify, develop, and implement corrective actions for service problems.
  • Develop and monitor departmental goals to meet the Supply Chain operational plan.
  • Coordinate staffing and resources to meet or exceed service levels.
  • Maintain consistent communication with customers.
  • Coordinate and administer orientation programs for new employees.
  • Review and update training materials to meet OSHA requirements.
  • Maintain staff competency standards and ensure regular in-servicing.
  • Develop and implement reports from department information systems for performance reporting.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
