About The Position

As a Fleet Supervisor in our Philadelphia market, you'll work on-site and be hands on out of our Supply Chain airport location and travel locally. You will manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the area fleet. This includes negotiating and managing vendor service contracts, analyzing when damaged vehicles should be repaired, and managing the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles. You will also oversee budgets, deliver operational activities within financial targets, and identify opportunities to reduce costs. Additionally, you will manage vendor performance, analyze historical trends and current operating metrics, and contribute to the preparation of Zipcar’s annual operating plan, producing reports and visual representations of data for senior management.

Requirements

  • Experience in managing staff, service contractors and other vendors.
  • General knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-range goals.
  • Strong process orientation.
  • Good financial and operational analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the upkeep, maintenance, repair, and cleanliness of the area fleet.
  • Negotiate and manage vendor service contracts to ensure vehicles are properly maintained, repaired, and cleaned to Zipcar's high standard.
  • Analyze and determine when damaged vehicles should be repaired, to maintain car condition and resale value.
  • Manage the process of in-fleeting and de-fleeting vehicles, including Zipcar branding preparation and installation of Zipcar's proprietary access system.
  • Work within a budget while maintaining excellent fleet condition and minimizing vehicle downtime.
  • Manage vendor performance on hundreds of weekly tasks to maximize vehicle condition and uptime and minimize costs.
  • Analyze historical trends and current operating metrics to identify actionable insights.
  • Oversee budgets, delivering operational activities within financial targets and identifying opportunities to reduce costs.
  • Work with Business Units to support performance improvement decisions.
  • Contribute to the preparation of Zipcar’s annual operating plan.
  • Produce reports and visual representations of data for senior management.
