About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist supports material movement, packaging, shipping, and receiving functions in a composite manufacturing environment. This role is structured into three progressive levels of responsibility: Level 1 – Specialist develops foundational expertise in one area: Packing, Shipping, or Receiving. Level 2 – Specialist expands responsibilities across two of the three core areas. Level 3 – Specialist demonstrates full capability across Packing, Shipping, and Receiving, ensuring seamless end-to-end material flow. This position builds cross-functional skills, providing career progression opportunities and supporting operational flexibility.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (GED or HSE).
Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and warehouse management systems.
Level 1 – Entry-level; experience in warehouse, packing, or shipping operations preferred.
Level 2 – 1-2 years of combined experience across two supply chain functions.
Level 3 – 3+ years of experience across packing, shipping, and receiving in a manufacturing environment; familiarity with ERP/MRP/WMS systems preferred.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
Effective organizational and communication skills.
Team-oriented, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

Forklift certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Execute daily tasks in assigned area (packing, shipping, or receiving).
Maintain accuracy of documentation, labeling, and system updates.
Communicate with drivers, carriers, and internal teams as required.
Perform responsibilities across two areas (e.g., Shipping & Receiving, Packing & Shipping, or Packing & Receiving).
Cross-train and support peers to balance workload across functions.
Assist with inventory checks, material flow, and staging activities.
Coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve efficiency.
Support process improvement initiatives.
Perform all tasks across Packing, Shipping, and Receiving.
Manage incoming and outgoing shipments, including inspection, documentation, and coordination with carriers.
Prepare, package, label, and stage outbound materials per specifications.
Oversee receiving activities including verification against purchase orders and reporting discrepancies.
Provide training and guidance to Level 1-2 Specialists.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
Contribute to LEAN initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Monitor and achieve established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as efficiency, safety compliance, ensuring continuous improvement, and alignment with company goals.
Keep work area clean and organized to prevent safety hazards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
