About The Position

The Supply Chain Specialist provides dedicated customer support to both internal and external stakeholders by executing departmental objectives and tactical plans that support corporate business growth. This role ensures customer orders are shipped on time and in full, proactively addresses service issues and customer concerns, and collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to deliver an excellent customer experience. The position focuses on accurate order management, effective communication, and continuous improvement within a fast-paced, manufacturing-focused supply chain environment.

Requirements

  • 1 or more years of supply chain-related experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in business-to-business (B2B) operations, particularly in order management or supply chain roles.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP, including order management, purchase orders, inventory, and data entry.
  • Background in purchasing, order entry, or supply chain management within a manufacturing context.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work effectively with spreadsheets and manage data accurately.
  • Strong problem-resolution skills, including the ability to identify root causes and implement solutions.
  • Capability to work independently as a self-directed contributor while also collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change and adjust to evolving processes and customer needs.
  • Good overall computer skills and comfort working with databases and electronic systems, including EDI.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a manufacturing company, particularly in supply chain, purchasing, or order management roles.
  • Familiarity with EDI order processing and resolving related system errors.
  • Experience supporting Accounts Receivable functions, including resolving invoice discrepancies and claims.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer orders for the assigned regional commercial team, ensuring timely and accurate order entry and maintenance while communicating directly with account buyers.
  • Perform daily audits of open orders, including researching and rescheduling orders that remain open from the previous day to ensure timely fulfillment.
  • Review orders for completeness and accuracy, obtaining required information and approvals before releasing orders for shipment, such as resolving pricing discrepancies or securing approval to ship close-dated cases.
  • Schedule dock appointments for customer pick-up (CPU) customers and maintain accurate appointment records within the scheduling application.
  • Oversee delivered orders in coordination with the in-house Transportation Department to ensure on-time and in-full delivery.
  • Collaborate with Customer Experience, Production Planning, Demand Planning, Warehouse, and Materials teams to confirm that additional product requirements, such as promotions or new distribution centers/stores, are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Assess projected inventory levels and determine when substitutions or date changes are necessary to support order fulfillment while minimizing service disruptions.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting sales personnel by identifying customer ordering practices that are inconsistent with established service level agreements and helping to address them.
  • Review aged inventory and discontinued items at company-owned bottling operations and co-packer locations, helping to manage and optimize inventory.
  • Maintain and update requirements in customers’ vendor subsystems to ensure accurate and current data.
  • Use SAP T-Codes to identify pricing discrepancies and follow established standard operating procedures to resolve issues.
  • Partner with management and shared services teams on IDOC reports to correct EDI errors, update customer files with new items, and communicate data revisions to the Customer Experience Manager.
  • Support the Accounts Receivable team with invoice management by helping resolve short payments, overpayments, and claims, and clearly communicating issues, root causes, and resolutions to internal and external customers.
  • Manage product returns, damage claims, and complaints by identifying root causes, communicating resolutions to affected business partners, assigning action items to appropriate personnel, and ensuring necessary approvals are obtained.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of data used in Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators and contribute to the ongoing monitoring of performance metrics.
  • Participate in team initiatives and continuous improvement projects to enhance processes, customer service, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer focus.
