About The Position

Applies expert and specialized knowledge to plan, direct, and coordinate Supply Chain activities in concert with Engineering to support customer program requirements. Participates and leads management and executive level program reviews at customer sites and at NORDAM. Primary Supply Chain contact for customer program status for NORDAM Supply Chain at Transparency Division (NTD) and Supplier actions in partnership with Program Management and Engineering.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree. Business and/or Engineering
  • 10 or more year(s) Aerospace industry experience required
  • Program management and OEM and work with Tier 1 Suppliers as Customer interface preferred.
  • Communicate effectively using electronic media and in written and verbal forms.
  • Make telephone and direct personal contact with internal and external personnel and make formal presentations to small or large groups.
  • Proficient use of standard software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Competent use of Aerospace New Production Introduction, New Product Development and Engineering Change processes.
  • Safety training applicable to the job and work area.
  • Ability to direct and coordinate the activity of others in a matrix work environment.
  • Ability and willingness to assist and transfer technical knowledge to less experienced Stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Develops solutions to complex and unusual problems that require considerable ingenuity and innovation to make substantial modification to policies and standards related to managing engineering projects in the areas of design or technology. Work is accomplished with only limited direction allowing considerable freedom to act.
  • Plans and coordinates activities to ensure NORDAM Supply Chain Management within NTD processes support customer requirements.
  • Coordinate all NPI (New Product Introduction) bid packages for new program opportunities at NTD and track deliverables.
  • Coordinate non-standard program awards tied to new technology that may be dependent on supplier-partners, industrializing new technology at supplier facility and NTD.
  • Identify appropriate supply base to support NPI projects, with Program Management and Engineering input, and within NORDAM commodity strategy; establish supplier contacts while acting as single point of contact with suppliers on NTD NPI projects while supporting completion of long-term agreements.
  • Conduct supplier down-select meetings with the IPT and larger Supply Chain organization through supplier selection and industrialization.
  • Facilitate technical discussions between the NORDAM and Supplier Engineering teams and ensuring we adhere to NDA/IP guidance.
  • Support IPTs and Supply Chain Management (SCM) actions up to successful FAI prior to handoff to Tactical Procurement, providing inputs into Technical Statements of Work to be incorporated into program deliverables.
  • Support both internal and Supplier business reviews and presenting supply chain status and data to leadership; prepares various project reports for management, customers and others, as needed.
  • Complete supporting of supply chain activities including NDAs, competitive bids, supplier set-up, vendor and material master, Purchase Information Records, and material cost roll-up.
  • Performs other duties as required. These duties may include assignments in job classifications and departments other than the primary assignment.
