About The Position

General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to join its Artillery team. The internship provides hands-on experience supporting the Artillery Supply Chain department and is in person at the company's St. Petersburg, Florida location from May 17 to August 5, 2027. The intern will initially perform administrative and support tasks, contribute to assigned projects, and learn organizational processes and procedures. The role involves work on problems of moderate scope, exercising judgment within defined procedures, and building productive internal and external working relationships. The intern should be comfortable working autonomously and multitasking in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in related Business or Supply Chain courses or be within six months of graduation.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Oral and written communication skills.
Attentiveness.
Ability to understand and follow directions.
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Provide support to professional employees in an organizational function related to the intern's area of study.
Contribute to assigned projects and assist with developing and maintaining documentation or records.

Handle basic issues and problems.
Undertake administrative and support tasks for the Artillery Supply Chain department.

Exercise judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
Build productive internal and external working relationships.
Recommend process improvements identified during the internship.
