About The Position

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling is hiring a paid summer Supply Chain Intern in Greenville, North Carolina. The intern will own a business project or initiative that supports real business objectives and delivers measurable impact. After onboarding and role training, the intern will work with mentorship and support from a manager and team, then present project accomplishments and business impact to company leaders and peers. The internship also includes a structured development program with networking, professional development, career coaching, business acumen sessions, site tours, volunteer activities, and intern events. The intern will gain exposure to manufacturing and supply chain operations and may participate in optional innovation discussions. Specific project assignments vary by team and will be discussed during interviews.

Requirements

Be enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program focused on Supply Chain Management, Industrial Distribution & Logistics, Business Administration, or an equivalent program.
Demonstrate verbal, written, and interpersonal communication proficiency.
Have advanced analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
Have comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Be driven to learn and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Lead a meaningful project or series of projects that support business objectives and drive measurable results.
Learn the fundamentals of the assigned role through hands-on training, mentorship, and collaboration with supply chain professionals.
Analyze processes, data, and operational challenges to identify improvement opportunities and contribute solutions.
Work cross-functionally with team members and stakeholders to support project goals and business initiatives.
Present recommendations, findings, and project outcomes to leaders and peers.
Gain exposure to supply chain functions including planning, logistics, inventory management, procurement, operations, and continuous improvement.
