Supply Chain Intern
About The Position
Andersen Corporation is seeking a Supply Chain Intern to support supply chain process improvements. This position may involve areas such as demand planning, resource planning, purchased material planning, scheduling, material flow, information flow, inventory management, and/or transportation planning within manufacturing or distribution. Opportunities may include utilizing lean tools for continuous improvement, defining and analyzing problems, recommending and implementing solutions, improving material or information flow, leading time improvements, managing raw or finished goods inventory, optimizing transportation processes, and developing metrics programs for suppliers.
Requirements
- Obtaining bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing technology, Industrial Engineering, Management Informational Systems (MIS)
Responsibilities
- Facilitate cross-functional teams having explicit objectives and scope
- Propose, implement, and support business tool and process enhancements
- Perform data analyses to support recommendations
- Ensure new processes integrate with existing processes
- Train customers on new and modified processes
- Utilize lean tools to lead and direct continuous improvement activities
- Define problems, collect and analyze data
- Recommend and implement effective solutions
- Improve material or information flow within a plant or distribution center
- Lead Time Improvements
- Raw or finished goods inventory Management
- Transportation process improvements
- Metrics programs for internal or external suppliers
