About The Position
The Oatey Summer Internship Program – The Oatey Intern Experience is a 12-week summer internship designed to expose college students to meaningful work in a diverse, collaborative team environment. The program focuses on attracting talented students to develop them into future leaders through one-on-one mentorship, developmental feedback and coaching, lunch series, engaging networking events, and weekly forums. Interns will work closely with experts to develop skills and gain valuable insight in their chosen career field, with exposure to all leadership levels of Oatey. The program includes challenging team projects, community involvement, peer mentoring, and learning and development opportunities. Oatey often hires interns post-graduation based on outstanding performance and organizational needs.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field
- Strong analytical skills
- High competency level with the Microsoft Office suite of products
- Good communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support administrative tasks including collecting and analyzing data for inventory reports, backorder reports, fill reports, and other key drivers of performance.
- Support new item set-up.
- Create and manage production orders, purchase orders, and transfer orders.
- Support demand and supply planning.
- Support inventory distribution.
- Support supply chain KPI analysis.
- Communicate effectively in person, through email, and over the phone.
- Interact with plants, distribution centers, logistics partners, suppliers, and other internal stakeholders.
