About The Position

Schneider Electric has an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Intern at our Mechanicsburg, PA facility for the Spring 2027 semester. This is a part-time, onsite position designed for students looking to gain hands-on experience in supply chain operations, process improvement, data analysis, and manufacturing while completing their studies. If you're passionate about solving problems, analyzing data, improving processes, and working directly with operations teams, we'd love to hear from you!

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate findings, ideas, and recommendations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Interest or experience in process improvement, time studies, 5S, or manufacturing operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to develop clear reports and presentations.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and build positive working relationships.
  • Self-motivated learner with an interest in supply chain, manufacturing, and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work onsite during business hours while balancing academic commitments.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, ongoing basis. Schneider Electric does not provide immigration sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct time studies and data analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Work directly on the manufacturing floor to support process improvement initiatives, 5S activities, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities to improve workflows, standard processes, and overall productivity.
  • Develop reports, presentations, and performance metrics to communicate findings and provide visibility into improvement opportunities.
  • Support continuous improvement projects by collecting and analyzing data, documenting processes, and providing data-driven recommendations.
  • Participate in projects focused on improving efficiency, organization, and overall operational performance.
