About The Position

The Supply Chain Development Manager leads strategic supply-base diversification and supplier development programs across multiple product lines. The manager owns a portfolio of high-visibility, cross-functional programs from strategy development and business-case alignment through qualification, industrialization, safe launch, and stabilization. The role establishes program governance, aligns resources and priorities, drives timely decisions, and provides senior leadership with visibility into progress, risks, financial impact, and required actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Program Management, or a related field with 5–8 years of relevant experience; or a master's degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in supply chain, supplier development, sourcing, manufacturing, engineering, operations, or a related environment, with accountability for decisions, risk management, implementation, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to apply program-management methods, including integrated planning, governance, milestone and dependency management, risk management, resource alignment, and executive reporting.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supplier-management processes, including supplier selection, qualification, transition, performance management, launch readiness, and implementation controls.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, develop clear recommendations, and connect operational actions to financial and business outcomes.
  • Ability to create alignment without direct authority, resolve cross-functional conflict, influence decisions at multiple levels, and sustain accountability across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Strong leadership, communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to present complex topics clearly to senior leaders and working teams.
  • Initiative, ownership, sound judgment, and comfort working independently in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities.
  • Excellent organization, attention to detail, and follow-through, with a focus on execution and measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply-base diversification and supplier development strategies aligned with product-line priorities, regional supply chain objectives, and long-term business needs.
  • Manage complex supply chain programs, balancing priorities, resources, dependencies, and risks to meet annual objectives for material productivity, supply continuity, risk reduction, quality, and implementation timing.
  • Partner with regional category managers and business stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities, validate assumptions and business cases, align on investment decisions, and track committed financial benefits.
  • Build integrated program roadmaps covering scope, milestones, decision gates, deliverables, dependencies, resources, and critical-path activities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams across supply chain, category management, engineering, quality, manufacturing, operations, purchasing, testing, logistics, and other functions; align workstreams and resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Establish program governance, decision rights, ownership, escalation paths, and review cadences; hold stakeholders accountable and resolve issues affecting cost, quality, supply, or schedule.
  • Lead supplier transitions, qualifications, and launch-readiness activities, using decision gates to verify technical, quality, capacity, packaging, logistics, documentation, and operational readiness.
  • Identify and assess program and supplier risks, quantify potential business impacts, evaluate response scenarios, and lead mitigation or recovery plans through closure.
  • Monitor program performance against schedule, budget, savings, quality, and readiness commitments; investigate variances and drive corrective actions or escalation.
  • Ensure programs have appropriate resources, stakeholder engagement, and executive support to meet objectives on time and with controlled risk.
  • Prepare executive-level updates, dashboards, and decision materials communicating status, business impact, risks, tradeoffs, and recommended actions.
  • Contribute to regional supplier-risk mitigation and resiliency planning by analyzing data, identifying exposure, and developing actionable plans.
  • Promote disciplined program-management practices, continuous improvement, and lessons learned across the Supply Chain Development organization.
