About The Position

Covestro is seeking a motivated student to join its Supply Chain and Logistics Digital and AI Team in Pittsburgh as a co-op. The role supports business analytics and process improvement projects through data collection, validation, and cleaning, as well as coding and project administration and documentation. The student will gain hands-on experience in a global supply chain organization, receive mentorship from supply chain professionals, and contribute to analytics projects and Covestro's supply chain digital transformation initiatives. The co-op is planned as three rotations, with end-of-semester reviews that may lead to future co-op rotations if the student and Covestro agree it is a good fit. Planned start dates are in Spring or Summer 2027, depending on availability.

Requirements

Be currently enrolled in undergraduate studies and have completed freshman year by the start date.
Be pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
Have strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Be proficient in data analysis tools and the Microsoft Office suite.
Have good communication skills in English.
Be able to work in a team environment.
Have an interest in supply chain operations and logistics.

Nice To Haves

Have completed sophomore year by the start date.
Have experience working with Python or Typescript.
Be pursuing a minor or certificate in business or a supply chain-related field.
Be familiar with agentic coding tools.
Have exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) or similar cloud computing platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist with business analytics projects focused on supply chain optimization.
Collect, validate, and clean data from various sources.
Help prepare project documentation, user requirement documents, and user manuals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze supply chain data.
Support senior developers with the development, deployment, and maintenance of full-stack tools for supply chain groups.
Develop scripts for automations and optimization models.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain and Logistics Digital and AI Team.
