About The Position

The Supplier Specialist performs incoming inspection of materials upon receipt, ensures materials are properly identified and dispositioned, and supports Supplier Quality functions through administrative and documentation activities. These activities include handling records related to nonconforming material, complaints, PPAP tracking, and quality agreements. The role ensures accurate and timely documentation, inspection, and audit support. The position collaborates with internal and external personnel to investigate non-conformances, minimize cost of quality, and support continuous improvement.

Requirements

Ability to read blueprints.
Computer literacy.
Ability to use a Faro arm.
Ability to drive a forklift.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Organizational skills.
Proficiency with, or willingness to develop proficiency in, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to prioritize tasks based on customer expectations and impact to Tekna.
Self-starter with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform incoming inspection of raw materials when received.
Accurately document inspection results.
Work with appropriate personnel to determine the disposition of nonconforming material found during incoming inspection.
Document rejected materials.
Properly identify materials after inspection.
Perform first article inspections as directed.
Assist in evaluating returns as directed.
Document nonconforming materials in the quality system and help gather information to support disposition decisions.
Help maintain and track supplier corrective action documentation and follow-up status.
Track and document PPAP submissions and status on behalf of the Supplier Quality Engineer.
Support complaint investigations by gathering records, data, and documentation as directed.
Support audit-related activities as directed, including gathering records, preparing documentation, and logistics.
Support supplier qualification and monitoring activities.
Collaborate with internal and external personnel to investigate causes of non-conformances, minimize cost of quality, and promote continuous improvement.
