The Supplier Quality Engineer (E2, Entry-Level) supports the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of supplier quality performance across Applied Materials’ supply base. This role works closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and suppliers to ensure components, materials, and processes meet defined quality, reliability, and manufacturability requirements. In this position, the engineer applies data-driven quality methods to analyze supplier performance, participates in supplier audits and assessments, and supports root cause analysis and corrective action activities. The role provides hands-on exposure to supplier quality systems, manufacturing process controls, and structured continuous improvement methodologies. The Supplier Quality Engineer contributes to defining quality requirements, evaluating process capability, reducing risk, and improving yield to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. The role also includes exposure to additive manufacturing technologies, where the engineer helps integrate advanced fabrication processes into the supply base while ensuring robust quality controls are in place.
