About The Position

Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) handles managing the quality aspects of materials and services provided by external suppliers. The role involves implementing quality assurance processes, conducting audits, and collaborating with suppliers to address quality issues. SQAs work closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, production, and engineering, to ensure that the components and materials sourced meet the company’s quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in supplier quality assurance or a related role
Familiarity with quality management systems and standards
Advanced understanding of quality assurance methodologies and practices
Proven experience conducting supplier audits and assessments
Knowledge of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and related quality standards
Ability in statistical analysis and quality control tools
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Develop and implement quality control plans and programs for supplier materials.
Collaborate with suppliers to address and resolve quality issues.
Analyze supplier quality data and metrics to find trends and areas for improvement.
Work with supply cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Maintain and update supplier quality documentation and records.
Ensure suppliers adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements.
Work with and aid in coordination of supplier qualification and approval processes.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for defective materials.
Participate in supplier performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide technical support and guidance to suppliers on quality-related matters.
Monitor and report on supplier quality performance and key performance indicators.
