About The Position

As a Supplier Performance Engineer Intern, you will support the fabrication of Electrical and Instrumentation & Control (I&C) components at supplier facilities. You will report to the SPX Manufacturing Engineering Manager within the APX Supply Chain's WBS 9/10 Electrical and I&C Procurement Management organization. This is a paid, full-time, onsite position at the Cranberry, Pennsylvania facility from May through August 2027. The hourly rate is estimated at $25.40 to $29.00, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering.
• Completed sophomore year of college.
• Able to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documents.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site and remote supplier oversight to ensure Westinghouse technical and quality requirements are achieved.
• Implement Supplier Oversight Plans, leading completion of critical document submittals, manufacturing activities, surveillance points, inspections, and tests, and ensuring vendor compliance with critical requirements.
• Coordinate activities and communications to resolve issues promptly, identify impacted products, determine issue dispositions, and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor supplier performance metrics, identify negative performance trends, and implement causal analysis, corrective actions, and Supplier Improvement Plans to reduce issues.
• Evaluate procurement risk, solicit partner input, and use resources to develop security-of-supply risk mitigation plans.
• Manage internal and external corrective action requests.
