This is a Full Time position for a Supervisory Recreation Specialist in Youth Services. The role serves as the Youth Center Director, responsible for ensuring a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment within the Youth programs facilities, grounds, and sports fields, while also monitoring security and maintenance. The position involves performing developmental assignments to provide youth programs and services that meet community needs, establishing budgets, and managing various funds. Key responsibilities include analyzing budgets and programs, executing opportunities for youth physical activity and positive lifestyle behaviors, and planning, organizing, and providing year-round youth sports, recreational, social, and educational programs. This includes coordinating recurring activities, special events, and joint community undertakings. The role also involves coordinating and leading Boys and Girls Club of America programming (Keystone, Torch Club, Military Youth of the Year), interacting professionally with employees, parents, volunteers, and installation command personnel, and actively managing and resolving issues. A significant part of the role is the supervision of employees and volunteers, including assigning, directing, and reviewing work, planning training and development, evaluating performance, and recommending personnel actions. The position may require TDY travel and involves working nights and weekends as needed. It also requires serving as a mandatory reporter for Family Advocacy and Child Protective Services.
