About The Position

Coury Hospitality has an amazing opportunity as a Temporary Supervisor. This role will be at MaryJane's Diner within the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego, specifically for the July Comic-Con event. The Supervisor will lead the front-of-house team through this busy period, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, supporting daily operations, and inspiring the team to deliver legendary hospitality. The position is on-site, full-time, and temporary, lasting through Comic-Con.

Requirements

2+ years of restaurant leadership or supervisory experience in a high-volume or upscale dining environment.
Lead with confidence, positivity, and a hands-on approach.
Thrive under pressure and know how to keep a team motivated during busy service.
Outstanding communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Passionate about hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and the entire Comic-Con event period.

Responsibilities

Lead, coach, and support Servers, Hosts, Server Assistants, and Bartenders throughout every shift.
Oversee daily floor operations to ensure smooth, efficient, and memorable guest experiences.
Jump in wherever needed to support service, resolve challenges, and keep operations running seamlessly.
Monitor service standards, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the restaurant.
Handle guest concerns with professionalism, urgency, and a hospitality-first mindset.
Partner closely with culinary and bar teams to maintain exceptional communication and service flow.
Assist with shift organization, team communication, and operational priorities during peak business periods.
Promote food safety, sanitation, and company standards while creating a positive, high-energy work environment.
