About The Position
Coury Hospitality has an amazing opportunity as a Temporary Server Assistant at MaryJane's Diner, located within the Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. This role is crucial for supporting the front-of-house team during the busy Comic-Con event, ensuring seamless dining experiences. The Server Assistant will help create exceptional guest experiences by supporting Servers, maintaining a clean and organized dining room, and ensuring service flows smoothly from start to finish. This is a temporary, full-time or part-time position, ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy being part of a collaborative team that delivers outstanding hospitality.
Requirements
- Previous restaurant, food runner, busser, or customer service experience.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environments.
- Ability to move with urgency while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- Enjoy working as part of a collaborative team.
- Clear communication skills with guests and fellow team members.
- Flexible availability, including weekends, evenings, holidays, and Comic-Con event dates.
Responsibilities
- Support Servers by delivering food and beverages promptly and professionally.
- Provide attentive water service and maintain beverage levels throughout the dining experience.
- Clear, clean, reset, and prepare tables quickly while maintaining exceptional presentation standards.
- Assist with crumbing tables and maintaining a polished dining room appearance.
- Transport dishes, glassware, and service items safely between the dining room and dish area.
- Stock and maintain service stations with silverware, linens, condiments, and supplies.
- Polish silverware, fold napkins, replenish service items, and keep side stations organized.
- Maintain cleanliness throughout dining, waiting, and service areas.
- Respond promptly to guest requests while communicating service needs to Servers and Managers.
- Work closely with Hosts, Servers, Bartenders, and Culinary teams to keep service running smoothly.
