About The Position

Montana’s is looking for a Supervisor to assist in the day-to-day leadership of the restaurant. As a member of the restaurant leadership team, this role is jointly accountable for both financial and non-financial key performance indicators relating to the operation of the restaurant. Montana’s is a place where BBQ-lovers, friends, and family gather to enjoy favorites fresh off the grill. Requirements

  • Prior experience in a hospitality setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with the restaurant team and Guests.
  • Knowledge of Point of Sale Systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing competing priorities.
  • Ability to understand the perfect guest experience and anticipate the needs of the guest prior to receiving requests.
  • Mediation and facilitation skills to ensure Guest and Q-Crew related concerns are dealt with immediately and effectively.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to multi-task and maintain high energy in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a Perfect Guest Experience by identifying root causes of gaps in Guest satisfaction, developing corrective action plans, and resolving Guest complaints.
  • Coach the Q-Crew to ensure consistent delivery of quality food and beverages, an inviting atmosphere, and connections with Guests.
  • Communicate with guests regularly to gather insights for improving the overall Guest Experience.
  • Train and develop the Q-Crew through coaching and performance improvement measures, and participate in the training process for hourly Q-Crew.
  • Assist in developing a culture of recognition and rewards focused on KPIs and Perfect Guest Experience results.
  • Support the General Manager and Guest Experience in developing tactics for an engaging environment where the Q-Crew works as a team, has fun, and shows appreciation for Guests and each other.
  • Measure and improve key performance indicators daily, including guest satisfaction, Q-Crew satisfaction, food safety, and profitability.
  • Ensure the restaurant achieves maximum efficiency and profitability by operating within an assigned labor budget.
  • Assist in executing operating plans to build business, such as Marketing Action Plans and sales drives.
  • Establish and maintain adherence to operating practices and procedures, including safe food handling, HACCP, inventory counts, and FIFO product rotation.
  • Maintain standards for restaurant opening and closing procedures and the uniform policy.
  • Complete and track completion of all activities on daily checklists.
  • Implement new menu, lunch/dinner board, and special promotion rollouts as per brand specifications.
  • Adhere to cash operating and control procedures, prepare daily deposits, and conduct daily safe audits according to administration policies and procedures.
  • Comply with provincial legislation regarding employment standards, human rights, Health & Safety, and WHMIS.
  • Ensure compliance with cash and inventory controls.
  • Ensure compliance with responsible alcohol service.
